SHUTDOWN UR PC WITH UR CELL PHONE....

The requirements are simple….One cell phone with GPRS enabled, Microsoft Outlook on the pc to be put to shutdown.

Using this method the user can shutdown, restart, hibernate the computer just by sending an email from their cell phone.

All you need to have is Microsoft outlook which comes with Microsoft word. The Microsoft outlook should be installed on the pc you wish to shutdown.

First you need to create a batch file to perform shutdown etc .you can write them down yourself.

* Open your notepad and type the following

c:\windows\system32\shutdown -s -f -t 00

And save it as shutdown.bat (Executable file)

* Open up Microsoft outlook .make sure that it is already configured for you email id.
* Now we will need to set Microsoft outlook in such a way that outlook checks you email every one minuite.This can be set by going to tools-à options
* Then click the mail setup tab and later send/receive button
* Make sure that you schedule an automatic send/receive...every box checked and set the number of minutes to 1.Now you may close all these dialog boxes
* Now go to tools---rules and alert. Next click on options button on the upper right hand corner and press the import rules button

* Now click on the shutdown.bat which you recently created
* Now the final step
* When you send the message from your phone to your email address with a subject shutdown or smsshutdown%% ......and VIOLA you computer is shutdown….

000webhost vulnerable to Non-Persistent Cross site scripting

One of the Top free web hosting provider, 000WebHost website is found to be vulnerable to Cross site scripting .  The vulnerability was discovered by the Cyber Security Researcher  Vedachala.

Domain name,Subdomain name and email address field in "Order Free Web Hosting" page of the site (000webhost.com) are vulnerable to xss injection.







The web app developer of this site fails to validate those inputs for the special characters that results in this security flaw.

Beware of fake Windows 8 Activators

Now days Windows 8 is in high demand, it usually does not take long before it is being exploited in one way or the other. Bad guys are continuously using the brand to lure users into their ruse. Trend Micro found several websites (are hosted on IPs located in Latvia or Romania.) using Windows 8 as keywords. The first site purportedly offers free Windows 8 activators, which is actually fake. Trendmicro also said that previously, these addresses hosted sites that peddle fake versions of popular mobile apps like Instagram and Angry Birds. These generators are identified by antivirus and security software as malware, which may transmit important data to the hackers or even install a Trojan which will ultimately hand over the control of your PC to the hackers.

INSTALLING BACK|TRACK 5 ON SMARTPHONES/TABLETS

Today we are going to see How to install backtrack  5 on Smartphones and tablets which run on android.For this we have certain Required. Ofcourse the main will be the Android smartphone with 2.1+. Though I recommend 4.0+.In my case ill be using Micromax a110 smartphone.

Requirements:

1.Back | track 5 Arm architecture which can be downloaded from the official website of the Back | track Here.
2.A smartphone/tablet which needs to be rooted since it requires root permission to run certain scripts. (micromax a110 as example)
3.Following Android Apps:
BUSYBOX : It acts like a installer and uninstaller.it needs root permission to run.it has gpu cores and can  run linux kernals on android . Link  
Superuser: This app just grants a superuser power to your phone just like “su” does for linux. Link
Terminal Emulator is app that runs a terminal console in android .Link
AndroidVNC is a tool for viewing VNC in Android. Link

Installation:

1.Extract the backtrack folder “BT5-GNOME-ARM” to folder named “BT5” on the root of sd.That’s the top level of the SD card.
2.Open up the Terminal Emulator

3.Type the command “cd sdcard/BT5”

4.Run this command and you will see root@localhost.

su
sh bootbt

4. Now lets run Backtrack GUI with VNC viewer

 startvnc

6. Open android vnc

Nickname : BT5
Password : toortoor
Address : 127.0.0.1
Port : 5901

7.Click the connect Button and Boom here is your Pentest machine

How To Create a bootable pen drive..

Install Windows 7 Using Pendrive

 

Many times we need to have a bootable pen drive if we are a netbook user or sometimes we don’t have a dvd to use, but to create one bootable usb drive is very easy if you follow the below steps:

1. Insert your formatted USB (4GB+ preferable) stick to the system.

2. Open elevated Command Prompt. To do this, type in CMD in Start menu search field and hit Ctrl + Shift + Enter. Alternatively, navigate to Start > All programs >Accessories > right click on Command Prompt and select run as administrator or open RUN ,type cmd and hit enter.

3. When the Command Prompt opens, enter the following command:
DISKPART and hit enter.
LIST DISK and hit enter.
Once you enter the LIST DISK command, it will show the disk number of your USB drive.

4. In this step you need to enter all the below commands one by one and hit enter.
SELECT DISK 1 (Replace DISK 1 with your disk number)
CLEAN
CREATE PARTITION PRIMARY
SELECT PARTITION 1
ACTIVE
FORMAT FS=NTFS
(Format process may take few seconds)
ASSIGN
EXIT
Bootable USB
now minimise the command window.

5. Insert your Windows DVD in the optical drive and note down the drive letter of the optical drive and USB media. Here I am using “D” as my optical (DVD) drive letter and “H” as my USB drive letter.

6. Go back to command prompt and execute the following commands:
D:CD BOOT and hit enter. Where “D” is your DVD drive letter.
CD BOOT and hit enter to see the below message.
BOOTSECT.EXE/NT60 H:
(Where “H” is your USB drive letter)
USB Bootable

7. Copy Windows DVD contents to USB.
now you have completed making a bootable pen drive , you can preserve it for any no of uses and format it too if u want it back to be used as a data traveller device.


NOTE:In making a pen drive bootable we convert it into NTFS format from FAT 32,this makes USB losses its efficiency,so,i prefer not to make pen drives bootable.

Follow the steps to bypass:
1) Press the power button to turn on your computer.
2) While ur on the screen with the animated microsoft logo press and hold the power button until turn off.
3) Press the power button to turn on again.
4) You should now see the option to bunch Start Up repair.. Select the option and press enter.
5) Run Startup Repair.
6) You should see a blue bar tht moves across the screen repeatedly. Above it should be messages
tht say "searching for problems" or something. The message should change to "Attempting repairs" within a few minutes.
7) Leave the computer running. This message should be there for 10-40 minutes depending on your computer.
A message should pop up tht says "start up repair could not fix the problem". Click the arrow next to "show problem details".
8) Scroll to the bottom and click the lnk to the .txt .
9) Notepad should open up with the file.
10) In notepad click File->Open. You can now use the file browser to perform the sethc.exe hack .
11) Go to C:Windows\system32 and find sethc.exe and rename to random.exe or somethign.
12) Copy the cmd.exe and rename the copied file to sethc.exe
13) Restart the computer and at the login screen press the "shift" key 5 times n quick succession.
14) Type in the cmd window "control userpasswords2" without the quotation marks.
15) You can now make a new admin account and login
